Jade Audio, Fiio’s sub-brand, has introduced the Jiezi, a pocketable USB-C headphone DAC/amp designed to bring high-resolution sound to phones, tablets, laptops, and even game consoles. Wrapped in a sleek aluminum-magnesium alloy with subtle Eastern-inspired motifs, the Jiezi blends premium looks with everyday portability.
Two versions are available to match different listening setups. Jiezi A features a 3.5 mm unbalanced output compatible with most headphones and earbuds, while Jiezi B offers a 4.4 mm jack for users who prefer the sturdier balanced-style connector used by many high-end headphones. Note that the Jiezi B uses an unbalanced internal design; the 4.4 mm output is for plug compatibility rather than true balanced amplification.
Both models support Hi-Res Audio, decoding up to 32-bit/384 kHz PCM and DSD formats for detailed, high-fidelity playback. Connectivity is wide-ranging: Android, iOS, HarmonyOS, Windows, macOS, and Linux devices with USB-C are supported. Thanks to USB Audio Class 1.0 and 2.0 compatibility, the Jiezi also works with popular consoles such as Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 5 for an instant audio upgrade.
The integrated USB-C cable uses palladium-plated oxygen-free copper conductors, protected by a silicone inner layer and braided outer jacket for durability and signal integrity. On Jiezi A, in-line controls handle calls, music playback, and other essentials. For deeper tuning, a 10-band parametric EQ and additional settings can be adjusted via a browser on computers or through Fiio’s control app on Android devices.
Performance specs include a 104 dB signal-to-noise ratio, 0.0034% THD+N, and 49 mW per channel at 16 ohms, offering clean, powerful output for everyday listening. The dongle weighs just 6 g (0.2 oz), with Jiezi A measuring 90 mm in length and Jiezi B at 100 mm, making either model easy to pocket and simple to use on the go.
