Evercade Super Pocket Activision Edition brings 34 classic games to a budget-friendly handheld
The Evercade Super Pocket Activision Edition is set to give retro gaming fans a compact and affordable way to revisit a large collection of classic Activision titles. Priced at $69.99, the handheld comes with 34 games built directly into its internal memory, meaning players can start gaming right away without needing to swap cartridges for the included collection.
While the bundled Activision games are preloaded rather than supplied as physical cartridges, the device still supports Evercade game cartridges. That compatibility is a major selling point, as it opens the door to more than 650 retro games across the wider Evercade library. For collectors and longtime retro fans, this makes the Super Pocket more than just a single-library handheld; it can also work as an entry point into a much larger ecosystem of cartridge-based classic gaming.
The hardware is simple, but that is expected at this price. Hyper Mega Tech has fitted the Super Pocket Activision Edition with a 2.8-inch IPS display featuring a 320 x 240 resolution, which suits the pixel-art style of many older games. The handheld also includes USB-C charging and a 3.5 mm headphone jack, making it practical for portable play at home or on the go.
Battery life is rated at around 3 to 4.5 hours, depending on the game being played. The 3,000 mAh battery should be enough for casual retro gaming sessions, short trips, or quick bursts of arcade-style play.
The Evercade Super Pocket Activision Edition is scheduled to launch on September 28, 2026. Pre-orders are expected to open soon through the manufacturer’s online store at $69.99.
Players who already own a Super Pocket will not necessarily need to buy the new handheld to enjoy part of the Activision lineup. A separate game cartridge containing a portion of the Activision collection will also be available for around $34 through select retailers.
