Exciting tidbits about the AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D processor have been circulating as it makes a quiet appearance in the European markets of France and Lithuania. Enthusiasts and tech-savvy individuals are eagerly awaiting the official announcement of AMD’s Ryzen 9000X3D series, which is expected to debut with this particular 8-core gem on November 7th. Leaks have already given us a glimpse of its specifications and performance, but the most intriguing mystery remains its price tag.
A brief listing on the well-known French retailer website, PC21, gave the processor a temporary price of 463.58 EUR without VAT and 556.27 EUR with VAT. Meanwhile, in Lithuania, the processor showed up with a similar price range of 557.31 EUR with VAT. When translated to USD, this positions the processor at roughly 602 USD with VAT or 481 USD without VAT.
For comparison, its predecessor, the popular Ryzen 7 7800X3D, is now priced at 419 EUR without VAT and 503 EUR with VAT at the same French retailer. This is just slightly below its initial launch price in April 2023 when it entered the market at $449 or €499 in Europe. In Germany, you can currently find the 7800X3D starting at €441, which indicates that prices have stayed relatively stable, despite some upward trends likely caused by tepid performance improvements in recent CPU lineups.
The new pricing suggests the 9800X3D could carry a premium of about 10% more than the current 7800X3D pricing at certain retailers and 26% more than the lowest market offers elsewhere. However, there’s an important caveat: these listed prices could merely be placeholders and might not reflect the final asking price. As official announcements draw near, fans of AMD’s cutting-edge technology will have their eyes peeled for a definitive word on pricing and availability.
