Epic Games has kicked off its first free PC game giveaway of 2026, and it’s already looking ahead to what’s coming next. If you enjoy sneaking through shadowy corridors, avoiding detection, and planning every move instead of charging into combat, the next Epic Games Store freebies should be right up your alley.
Alongside the new 2026 giveaway on PC, Epic is also running a separate free game offer for Android and iOS players. The mobile giveaway isn’t the same as the PC one, even though it carries a similarly strong reputation among players. While Epic hasn’t revealed what’s coming next for its mobile free game program, it has confirmed the PC lineup for the following week.
From January 15 to January 22, Epic Games Store users will be able to claim two stealth-focused games for free: Styx: Master of Shadows and Styx: Shards of Darkness. These games lean heavily into pure stealth gameplay with RPG-style progression, putting careful movement, timing, and clever tactics ahead of action. In other words, they’re far closer in spirit to classic stealth experiences like the Thief series than to action-leaning stealth-adventure titles.
Both Styx games are well regarded by players and hold Very Positive ratings on Steam. They typically sell for $19.99 each, though they’re also known to drop steeply during sales.
If you’re looking to grab the current free PC game before the switch, Bloons TD 6 is available to claim until January 15 at 16:00 UTC. After that, the store’s free offering rotates to the two Styx titles, giving stealth fans a solid two-game haul to start the year.
