Instagram DM Edit Message Feature

Enhance Your Messaging Experience on Instagram with New Features

Instagram has rolled out a suite of new features aimed at enhancing the messaging experience for users. These updates include the much-awaited ability to edit sent messages and turn off read receipts, among others. Here’s a breakdown of what you can look forward to with this latest Instagram update.

Editing Sent Messages

Ever sent a message only to spot a typo moments later? Instagram now allows users to edit sent messages up to 15 minutes after hitting send. This feature is perfect for correcting errors or refining what you’ve written. To edit a message, simply press and hold the message and tap the ‘Edit’ option.

Pinning Chats to the Top

Instagram has also introduced the ability to pin chats to the top of your inbox, ensuring your most important conversations are always within easy reach. You can pin up to three personal or group chats by pressing and holding the chat or swiping left on it and selecting ‘Pin’.

Disabling Read Receipts

For those who value privacy, Instagram now lets you disable read receipts. This way, you can read messages without alerting the sender. The feature can be toggled off for all chats or just selected ones under the Settings menu, then Messages and story replies, followed by Show read receipts.

Favoriting Stickers and Enhanced Message Replies

Stickers are a fun way to communicate, and now you can mark your favorites for quick access whenever you want to add some personality to your chats. And when it comes to replying to messages, Instagram has leveled up by allowing you to use photos, videos, voice messages, GIFs, and stickers as responses, making conversations more dynamic and expressive.

Introducing New Chat Themes

Customize your chat interface with new themes, including Love, Lollipop, and Avatar: The Last Airbender, to enhance your chatting experience. These themes add an extra layer of personalization to your conversations.

These new features are now available with the latest version of Instagram for both Android and iOS devices. Users are encouraged to update their app to enjoy these latest improvements.
