DJI Air 3S Leak Suggests Surprisingly Affordable Pricing with RC-N3 and RC 2 Controllers

The DJI Air 3S has just cleared the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), signaling its imminent release. While FCC approval doesn’t always mean a device will launch soon, leaks have started revealing the retail pricing, suggesting that the DJI Air 3S could hit the market in the coming weeks.

In a nutshell, the Air 3S will be priced higher than its predecessor, the Neo, which retails starting at $199 in the US. One Australian retailer has listed the Air 3S at AUD$1,525.70 (approximately $1,040) including the RC-N3 remote controller that was introduced with the Neo. This price includes Australia’s Goods and Services Tax (GST), which generally adds 10% to a product’s price tag. Without GST, the Air 3S and RC-N3 combo is expected to cost around AUD$1,387 (approximately $946).

Notably, the same retailer plans to offer the Air 3S in two Fly More Combos, featuring either the RC-N3 or the RC 2 remote controllers. These bundles are priced at AUD$1,911.80 (about $1,304) and AUD$2,180.20 (around $1,487), tax included.

Additionally, other sources suggest that the Air 3S with the RC-N3 combo might launch in Europe for approximately €1,159. This is an interesting point as it indicates that the Air 3S could be more affordable than the Air 3 at its launch. The Air 3 starts at AUD$1,699/€1,209 (about $1,158/$1,346) with an RC-N2 and goes up to AUD$2,349 (roughly $1,602) with an RC 2.

It’s highly anticipated that DJI will announce the Air 3S’s official launch date either later this month or in early October. For drone enthusiasts and prospective buyers, it’s an exciting time as they wait to see what new features and improvements the Air 3S will bring to the table.
