Bandai Namco and developer Media.Vision have locked in the release date for the next wave of downloadable content for Digimon Story Time Stranger. The new add-on, titled “Additional Digimon & Episode Pack 2: GAKU-RAN,” arrives on January 22, giving players more reasons to jump back into the Digital World with fresh evolutions and a brand-new story segment.
The headline feature in the GAKU-RAN pack is a set of new Mega-level Digivolution routes, expanding late-game team building and giving fans more options when planning the perfect lineup. This DLC introduces Mega Digivolutions for BanchoLillymon, BanchoStingmon, BanchoGolemon, and BanchoMamemon, a lineup that should be especially exciting for players who love the Bancho-themed Digimon and want new endgame power paths to explore.
Beyond new Digimon evolution routes, the pack also includes an additional episode delivered through a special questline. This new storyline puts the spotlight on one of the game’s central characters, Hiroko Sagisaka, offering extra narrative context and more character-focused moments for players who are invested in the game’s cast and overarching plot.
In terms of access, players who bought the Deluxe Edition or Ultimate Edition will receive the DLC as part of their package. It’s also included for Season Pass owners, and it will be available to purchase separately for anyone who wants to pick it up on its own.
Digimon Story Time Stranger originally launched worldwide in October 2025 for Windows PC (Steam), Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5. With the GAKU-RAN DLC arriving January 22, it’s a timely chance for returning players to expand their roster with new Mega Digivolutions and dive into a new episode centered on Hiroko Sagisaka.
