Leading the charge is Dbrand, who recently unveiled their latest creation tailored for the much-anticipated handheld console, named the Switch 2 Killswitch case.

While Dbrand hasn’t disclosed precise measurements on their website, a sneak peek at the device encased in the protective covering suggests it might be larger than the current OLED model. The secretive aura around the console dims slightly thanks to Dbrand’s CEO, Adam Ijaz, who has disclosed that they have access to the “actual dimensions” of the handheld. According to Ijaz, the Nintendo Switch 2 will be 270 mm in width, 116 mm in height, and 14 mm in thickness. For comparison, the existing OLED version measures 242 mm by 102 mm by 13.9 mm, giving gamers a hint that they might be getting a bigger screen.
However, the exact display technology remains under wraps—will it continue with OLED or switch to an IPS panel? Only time will tell. One feature causing a stir is the introduction of a new button. Positioned on the right Joy-Con below the Home button, this mysterious “C button” is rumored to serve as either a capture function or a new connection feature that might enable handheld bridging.
In a nod to improved functionality, another noticeable addition is a second USB-C slot. This means gamers could charge the device conveniently while playing on a tabletop, enhancing practicality for everyday use.
As for availability, those eager to grab the Killswitch case will have to practice patience, as it is set to hit the market around March or early April of 2025.
