Dacia Spring Debuts with Enhanced Design and Digital Features in a 65 HP Package

The 2024 Dacia Spring is coming through strong with a comprehensive update that not only gives the vehicle a facelift but also boosts its functionality. The latest iteration sports a refreshed interior and exterior in line with Dacia’s design language, prominently seen in the Duster SUV. Despite these updates, the car retains its familiar dimensions.

Under the hood, the Spring is outfitted with a 65 HP engine that maintains its 14.6 kWh/100 km range on the WLTP mixed cycle, holding steady without any increase in power or range. Notably, the vehicle’s cargo capacity has seen an increase from 290 litres to 308 litres, ensuring that it delivers the best loading capacity within its class.

Inside the cabin, drivers and passengers will be greeted by a new customizable digital dashboard housing a 7-inch screen, which sits alongside a prominent 10-inch multimedia central display. These additions enhance the digital experience within the Spring.

The Dacia Spring, since its launch in 2021, made substantial waves, becoming the third most sought-after electric vehicle among individual buyers in the years 2022 and 2023. Globally, there have been over 140,000 registrations of the Dacia Spring, which is produced in Wuhan, China, by the Renault-owned Romanian brand Dacia.

In terms of safety ratings, the Spring has shown contrasting results. While it didn’t achieve high ratings in crash tests, it earned a 5-star rating from the European environmental efficiency organization Green NCAP for its energy efficiency and reduced carbon emissions. The vehicle is commonly used for short urban commutes, with an average daily distance of 37 km at 37 km/h based on real-world usage data obtained from the car’s integrated digital system.

A significant majority of owners (75%) opt to charge their Dacia Spring at home, which speaks to the convenience of home charging solutions.

The price point for the Spring varies depending on local electric vehicle incentives, retailer pricing, and additional chosen options, such as the newly available 15-inch wheels. Despite these variables, Dacia remains confident in declaring the Spring as the most affordable full-electric model available on the market.

The 2024 Dacia Spring represents a significant update for the model, reaffirming Dacia’s commitment to offering a competitively priced, practical electric vehicle option for urban commuters. The new design, improved storage space, and advanced digital features all contribute to a more compelling product offering for those looking to transition to electric mobility.
