Cult Creations Unveils a New Era for Collector’s Edition Video Games

Lost in Cult, known for their innovative Design Works art books, is stepping into the world of physical game publishing with a fresh approach akin to the Criterion Collection. Their new label emphasizes prestige, preservation, and curation, bringing gamers offline-accessible titles that need no internet connection.

Every release will have two editions: one for mass retail, ensuring broad access through PM Studios, and a premium “EDITIONS” version—an exclusive, limited-run collector’s item available from Lost in Cult’s online store.

Their inaugural lineup includes:

– “Thank Goodness You’re Here!” for Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 5, a BAFTA-nominated comedy adventure.
– “IMMORTALITY” for PlayStation 5, an interactive film lauded by BAFTA for Best Narrative.
– “The Excavation of Hob’s Barrow” for Nintendo Switch, a folk horror gem nominated by PC Gamer for Game of the Year.

Each EDITIONS release boasts:

– An exclusive outer slipcase with unique artwork.
– A variant cover inside the retail case.
– A developer signature card and set of art cards.
– A fold-out poster and collector’s checklist.
– A custom sticker.
– A prestige booklet with insights from Edge Magazine alum Chris Schilling, featuring developer interviews and essays.
– Seasonally rotated designs on the packaging and mailer box.

This announcement marks Lost in Cult’s debut in video game publishing, with more titles set to be unveiled soon.
