Compact 65W Charger Debuts with Dual USB-C Cables

ESR introduces compact 65W charger with two built-in retractable USB-C cables

ESR has announced a new compact 65W power adapter designed to make everyday charging simpler and more travel-friendly. The standout feature is its pair of integrated retractable USB-C cables, allowing users to charge multiple devices without packing extra cords.

Retractable cables are becoming more common in modern chargers and power banks, but most accessories still include only one built-in cable. ESR’s new model goes a step further with two USB-C cables built directly into the charger, making it especially useful for people who regularly carry a laptop, smartphone, tablet, earbuds, or other USB-C devices.

The charger is rated as a 65W adapter, though its listed maximum output can reach up to 67W in certain situations. In practical use, the full 67W output is available only in select configurations, such as when using a single cable or the USB-A port. When multiple USB-C outputs are active at the same time, the total available power is capped at 65W.

Despite its small size, the adapter offers flexible charging options. It includes three USB-C outputs in total when counting the two built-in cables, along with one USB-A port for older accessories and devices. This makes it a convenient all-in-one charger for users who want to reduce cable clutter while still keeping compatibility with a wide range of gadgets.

The power adapter supports key voltage levels up to 20V, making it suitable for many USB-C laptops, tablets, handheld devices, and smartphones. Current is limited to slightly above 3A, which helps keep cable requirements manageable. It also supports AVS from 9V to 20V, allowing more precise voltage adjustments for compatible devices.

ESR plans to release the charger with a Europlug version in March 2027. A US version with folding prongs was shown during the product demonstration, but the European model will not include foldable pins. Pricing has not yet been confirmed.

For users looking for a compact USB-C charger with built-in cables, ESR’s upcoming 65W adapter could be an appealing option. Its combination of dual retractable USB-C cables, multiple ports, and travel-friendly design makes it a practical accessory for reducing the number of chargers and cables needed in a daily bag.
