Silent Hill fans, get excited! There’s a buzz suggesting that two classics from this beloved franchise might soon make a comeback. While nothing is officially confirmed yet, the anticipation alone is thrilling for gamers worldwide.
Silent Hill’s nostalgic charm continues to captivate audiences, with a remake of Silent Hill 2 and the upcoming release of Silent Hill f already grabbing attention. Now, it seems there might be more in store for those who adored the original games.
The key player here is GOG (Good Old Games), a platform renowned for its rich catalog of both contemporary and classic games. It empowers players with full control over their libraries, offering both newer titles and timeless classics.
Despite their iconic status, the first two Silent Hill games are currently unavailable for purchase on PC, PS5, or Xbox Series. This scarcity has only fueled fans’ desire to revisit the eerie, enthralling worlds they remember so fondly.
Here’s where GOG comes in. Recently, a fan-driven video spotlighting the Silent Hill series emerged on YouTube, along with interest in GOG’s Dreamlist program. This initiative invites gamers to propose and vote on titles they wish to see featured on GOG, effectively giving fans a voice.
The response has been enthusiastic. The first two Silent Hill games have garnered nearly 95,000 to 96,000 votes each on the Dreamlist, showing a clear demand. They’re currently leading the charge, just a few votes shy of popular titles like Digimond World and Black & White, each with over 106,000 votes.
While it remains to be seen if these classics will reappear on GOG, fans should keep their eyes peeled for any official announcements. The possibility of reviving these cherished games is looking brighter than ever.
