Citizen has expanded its 2026 lineup in Japan with a fresh wave of new watches, and two of the most anticipated additions are the latest Attesa ACT Line models arriving on March 12. Designed for everyday wear but built with Citizen’s signature tech-forward approach, the new CB3040-56H and CB3045-61L bring compact proportions, Super Titanium construction, and radio-controlled Eco-Drive performance to the wrist in a clean, modern package.
Both references run on Citizen Caliber H128, a light-powered Eco-Drive movement that supports multi-band radio reception across Japan, China, the United States, and Europe. When the watch isn’t able to sync with a radio time signal, accuracy is still rated at ±15 seconds per month. Practical features are a major part of the appeal here, including a perpetual calendar, world time with up to a 24-hour difference, direct flight adjustment for quick time-zone changes, and automatic hand correction to keep everything aligned. In power-save mode, the reserve is quoted at around two years, making these strong options for anyone who wants “set it and forget it” convenience without giving up precision.
The Citizen Attesa CB3040-56H is positioned as the more classic-looking of the two, priced at ¥99,000 (about $638). It uses a silver-toned Super Titanium case treated with Duratect Titanium Carbide for added surface hardness. The case size stays wearable at 39.0 mm wide and just 9.7 mm thick, while total weight is listed at 93 grams. Up top, Citizen fits a sapphire crystal with an anti-reflective coating, and water resistance is rated to 10 bar, which suits daily use and more than a little adventure. The dial leans into a refined industrial style, featuring a metallic finish with a structured pattern meant to look like a single sheet of metal.
For buyers who want a bolder, more contrast-heavy design, the Citizen Attesa CB3045-61L comes in at ¥126,500 (around $816) and shifts the palette darker. It keeps the same 39.0 mm dimensions and the same H128 movement, but uses a black DLC-treated Super Titanium case and bracelet. The dial moves to a deep blue tone with contrasting applied markers, giving it a sharper visual identity while still matching the angular lines of the ACT Line case.
Beyond the headline specs, Citizen packs both watches with a long list of real-world protections and usability features. You’ll find nickel allergy resistance, JIS Class 1 anti-magnetic protection, shock detection, a charge level display, and overcharge prevention, along with summer time support. The casebacks are engraved with city references for world time adjustment, and both models are manufactured in Japan.
With lightweight Super Titanium, sapphire protection, radio-controlled timekeeping, and long-life Eco-Drive convenience, the new Citizen Attesa ACT Line CB3040-56H and CB3045-61L are shaping up as compelling picks for anyone looking for a durable, travel-ready Japanese watch that stays sleek enough for everyday wear.
