ChatGPT can now plug directly into popular apps, letting the assistant take actions on your behalf. Connect your accounts once, then ask for what you need in plain language. Want a custom Spotify playlist, a hotel shortlist that fits your budget, or a quick design mockup? ChatGPT can handle the busywork and surface results right inside the conversation.
How to get started
– Log in to ChatGPT.
– In a new message, type the app name followed by your request. Example: “Spotify: Make a calm-focus playlist for a two-hour work session.”
– ChatGPT will prompt you to sign in and connect your account.
– To connect multiple apps at once, open Settings, then Apps and Connectors. Browse, choose the services you want, and sign in to each.
– You can disconnect any app anytime from the same Settings menu.
Privacy and permissions
Connecting an app shares certain data with ChatGPT so it can personalize results and perform actions. Review the permissions during setup and decide what you’re comfortable sharing. For example, linking Spotify may allow access to playlists, listening history, and library details. If you change your mind later, disconnecting is simple.

What’s next and availability
More partners are on the way, including DoorDash, OpenTable, Target, Uber, and Walmart, slated to launch later in the year. App integrations are currently rolling out in the U.S. and Canada, with availability in Europe and the UK to follow at a later date.
Tips for better results
– Be specific: include dates, budgets, locations, sizes, and any must-have features.
– Set constraints: mention ratings, time limits, styles, or formats.
– Iterate: ask for alternatives, add or remove filters, and refine until it’s just right.
With app integrations, ChatGPT becomes a practical co-pilot for planning trips, designing visuals, learning new skills, organizing projects, curating music, and searching for homes—all from one conversation.
