Casio has expanded its popular Edifice watch collection, introducing the S650D series in several European countries, including the Netherlands and France. Previously launched in the UK, these watches are characterized by their striking analog design featuring a colored ceramic bezel and a robust stainless steel casing and strap. Notably, the series features a 1-second stopwatch displayed on two of its sub-dials, and is equipped with solar charging capabilities.
The new Edifice lineup includes three models: the EFS-S650DC-1A, EFS-S650D-2A, and EFS-S650D-3A. Available through Casio’s online stores in countries such as Germany and Spain, the blue EFS-S650D-2A and green EFS-S650D-3A models with silver casings are priced at €219. Meanwhile, the sleek black EFS-S650DC-1A, featuring an ion-plated bezel, casing, and strap, is slightly more premium at €259.
A standout feature of the S650D series is its ceramic bezel, a first for Casio’s Edifice range. This polished ceramic element sets a new standard, offering enhanced scratch resistance compared to traditional stainless steel. Each model sports a patterned dial, encased in a slim, sleek design measuring 46.7 x 40.9 x 11.7 mm and weighing 140 g.
Beyond aesthetics, these watches promise precision, maintaining accuracy within 20 seconds per month. Each model includes a date display and three sub-dials, one providing a 24-hour time format and the others used for the stopwatch function. Thanks to solar charging technology, a full charge powers the watch for up to five months.
While these models are gaining popularity across Europe, Casio has yet to announce a release date for the US market. Enthusiasts and collectors alike are eager to see when these sophisticated timepieces will become available stateside.
