Casio has quietly given G-Shock fans in the United States something new to pick up: two fresh camouflage editions of the popular GA-2100 “CasiOak.” The new models, GA2100CM-5A and GA2100CM-8A, have already appeared in other markets and are now available to buy in the US for $145 each. As an extra perk, both versions ship with a free Nigo sticker set.
Both watches stick to the design that helped make the 2100 series a modern G-Shock staple. You still get the signature octagonal bezel and the easy-to-read analog-digital layout that works just as well for daily wear as it does for weekends outdoors. The main difference comes down to the camouflage styling. The GA2100CM-5A goes for a beige, sand-inspired camo look that feels made for neutral outfits and warmer-season gear. The GA2100CM-8A takes a darker approach, mixing grey tones with muted red accents for a more urban, stealthy vibe.
In terms of comfort and wearability, these models check the boxes that GA-2100 buyers usually care about. The case measures 48.5 × 45.4 × 11.8 mm and the watch weighs about 51 g, keeping it lightweight on the wrist. Casio uses a carbon and bio-based resin build, along with the brand’s Carbon Core Guard structure designed to improve shock resistance. You also get 200-meter water resistance, which is more than enough for swimming and everyday water exposure.
Feature-wise, these are classic GA-2100 watches with the tools people actually use. There’s world time covering 31 time zones (48 cities), a 1/100-second stopwatch, a 24-hour countdown timer, five daily alarms, and an hourly time signal. Visibility is boosted by double LED illumination, and the full auto-calendar runs through 2099. Accuracy is rated at ±15 seconds per month, which is in line with what fans expect from this type of durable quartz G-Shock.
Battery life is estimated at around three years using two SR726W batteries. You’ll also find the hand shift function, which moves the analog hands out of the way when you need an unobstructed view of the digital display. Casio additionally notes that the watch materials are derived from renewable organic resources, positioned as a step toward lowering environmental impact.
If you’re looking for a tough, lightweight G-Shock with the proven GA-2100 formula but want something that stands out from the standard blacked-out options, these camouflage GA2100CM models bring a new look without changing what made the “CasiOak” popular in the first place.
