Casio has officially brought its new G-Shock DW5600MNC cloth strap watches to North America and Europe, giving fans of the classic square design a fresh option that’s built for comfort and everyday durability. After being unveiled in February 2026 and launching in Japan in March, the DW5600MNC lineup is now landing in more regions, making it much easier to get your hands on these new strap-and-buckle upgrades.
In the United States, you can now purchase the Casio G-Shock DW5600MNC-1, DW5600MNC-7A8, and DW5600MNC-8A2 directly from Casio’s online store. Each model is priced at $165. The same trio is also rolling out across Europe, including markets like the Netherlands, Spain, and Germany, where they’re listed as the DW-5600MNC-1, DW-5600MNC-7A8, and DW-5600MNC-8A2. In these European countries, each watch retails for €159.
What makes this Casio G-Shock DW5600MNC series stand out is the switch to a cloth band designed for comfort. The straps are made from stretchy polyester, aimed at a softer, more flexible fit than traditional resin straps. The real highlight is the FIDLOCK magnetic buckle, which is designed to be operated with one hand—an appealing feature for anyone who wants a faster, easier way to put on or remove their watch, especially on the go.
Style-wise, Casio is offering three distinct looks. The DW5600MNC-1 goes for a stealthy all-black finish and uses a negative display with a dark background. The DW5600MNC-7A8 leans brighter with a light gray body paired with neon yellow accents, while the DW5600MNC-8A2 mixes a dark gray bezel with a multicolored strap for a more playful, streetwear-friendly vibe. The latter two models use a more traditional digital display with a light background. Despite the strap change, these watches still deliver classic G-Shock toughness, including a resin casing and 200-meter water resistance for swimming and water-heavy daily use.
Functionally, this is still very much the dependable DW5600 experience. You’re getting a 1/100th second stopwatch, hourly time signals, a multifunction alarm, and a countdown timer. The digital time display supports both 12-hour and 24-hour formats, and the calendar is fully automatic. Battery life is also expected to be strong, with an estimated five-year runtime using a CR2016 battery—great for anyone who wants a set-it-and-forget-it G-Shock.
As for the UK release, Casio has confirmed the cloth strap G-Shock DW5600MNC watches are “coming soon,” with a listed recommended retail price of £139. There’s no exact launch date yet, so UK buyers will need to wait a bit longer for availability details.
