Capcom’s Pragmata Lights Up Tokyo Game Show 2025 With Shelter Hub, Tram Network, New Weapons, and Hack Nodes

Capcom reignited excitement for Pragmata at Tokyo Game Show 2025, unveiling a fresh gameplay trailer that leans into the game’s moody sci-fi atmosphere and the bond between its lead duo, Hugh and Diana. Set among derelict space installations teeming with hostile robots, the footage alternates between cinematic storytelling and hands-on action inside a stark lunar station.

One of the biggest reveals is the Central Shelter, a key hub where players can unlock and upgrade gear to stay ahead of the rogue machines prowling each sector. From here, Hugh can tune weapons and install specialized Hack Nodes that give Diana powerful support abilities during encounters.

The new trailer also expands the arsenal with tools built for crowd control and tactical play:
– Charge Piercer: a high-impact option designed to punch through fortified enemy defenses.
– Decoy Generator: deployable bait to draw tougher foes off-position and set up clean takedowns.
– Hack Nodes: headlined by Multi-Hack, a consumable that lets Diana compromise multiple enemy systems in one go, opening windows for swift, coordinated strikes.

Exploration looks just as considered as combat. A Tram system links the Central Shelter to newly unlocked Escape Hatches, which serve double-duty as fast-travel points and checkpoints. It’s a smart loop: push deeper into abandoned outposts, unlock a hatch, regroup and upgrade at the Shelter, then ride the Tram to the next objective.

Capcom describes Pragmata as a story-driven space adventure with dual single-player mechanics, evoking the tension and teamwork of companion-led epics like The Last of Us. Players at TGS 2025 can sample that chemistry firsthand via a playable demo on the show floor.

Pragmata now carries a confirmed 2026 release window on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. The project was first teased in 2020, went quiet for a stretch, and resurfaced with another trailer in June 2025. Alongside Pragmata, Capcom also touched on what’s next across its portfolio, including Monster Hunter Wilds Title Updates 3 and 4, a fresh look at Onimusha: Way of the Sword, and more gameplay for Resident Evil Requiem.

With 2026 shaping up to be crowded, Pragmata stands out as a visually striking, systems-driven sci-fi adventure to watch. It joins a slate that already includes Dragon Quest VII: Reimagined, Mewgenics, Resident Evil Requiem, 007: First Light, Grand Theft Auto VI, and more—making next year an exciting one for console and PC players eager for ambitious single-player experiences.
