Canvas City

Canvas City Turns Graffiti-Punk Style Into Tactical RPG Street Battles

Canvas City blends tactical RPG strategy with skate culture, street art, and rebellion in a vibrant new adventure from Disc 2 Games.

Revealed during The MIX Summer Games Showcase, Canvas City takes players to a world where creativity has been pushed underground. In this city, public art is outlawed, music is controlled, and self-expression is treated like a threat. Instead of accepting a dull, silenced future, a group of young rebels rises up to bring color, rhythm, and identity back to the streets.

Players take control of the Fire Starters, a crew made up of skaters, artists, dancers, and musicians. Their mission is not to destroy the city, but to transform it. Through style, movement, and creativity, they challenge an oppressive system that wants every wall blank and every voice quiet.

What makes Canvas City stand out is its mix of tactical RPG combat and high-energy urban movement. Battles take place on strategic maps where positioning matters, but so does how you move. Skating across the environment, landing tricks, tagging areas, and using the city itself all help power up your crew’s abilities. Every turn is designed to feel expressive, turning each mission into both a strategy challenge and a performance.

The game is expected to feature more than 80 abilities, giving players plenty of ways to shape their tactics and playstyle. As the Fire Starters grow, players will be able to recruit new characters, customize their crew, and build a team that reflects their preferred approach. Whether focusing on movement, control, support, or big momentum-shifting abilities, Canvas City appears to offer plenty of room for experimentation.

At its core, Canvas City is about reclaiming a place that has lost its soul. The story focuses on identity, creativity, and the power of community in a world that tries to erase individuality. Its colorful style, music-driven energy, and tactical gameplay could make it a standout for fans of strategy games looking for something fresh and visually bold.

A demo for Canvas City is expected to arrive soon. The full game is currently planned for release on Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam.
