Boya Notra Neo Debuts as a Compact AI Voice Recorder for Meetings, Notes, and Transcriptions
Boya has introduced the Notra Neo, a small but feature-packed voice recorder designed for professionals, students, healthcare workers, journalists, and anyone who needs quick, reliable audio capture with smart transcription support.
Despite its compact size, the Boya Notra Neo is built for long recording sessions. The device includes 8 GB of local storage and can record continuously for up to 20 hours on a single charge, according to the company. When the battery runs low, it can be fully recharged in around 1.5 hours, making it practical for back-to-back meetings, lectures, interviews, or daily note-taking.
To improve audio quality, the recorder uses dual MEMS microphones paired with AI-powered speech enhancement technology. Boya says this setup allows the Notra Neo to capture clear recordings from up to 5 meters, or about 16.4 feet, away. That range could be especially useful in conference rooms, classrooms, medical consultations, and group discussions where speakers may not be sitting directly beside the device.
One of the key selling points of the Boya Notra Neo is its AI-driven workflow. Recordings can be synchronized to the cloud through the Boya OS smartphone app, giving users access to free unlimited cloud storage. Once uploaded, audio files can also be opened on a computer for editing, reviewing, or organizing.
The device supports exporting files in 10 different formats, including MP3, WAV, DOC, TXT, PDF, and JPEG. This flexibility makes it easier to turn voice recordings into written meeting notes, searchable transcripts, summaries, or shareable documents. For users who regularly handle interviews, business discussions, lectures, or client sessions, the ability to move between audio and text formats could save significant time.
Boya also highlights privacy as an important part of the Notra Neo experience. The company says user information is protected with end-to-end encryption and that the system complies with privacy standards such as HIPAA, which may be important for professionals handling sensitive patient recordings or confidential conversations.
With its portable design, long battery life, AI transcription features, cloud syncing, and multiple export options, the Boya Notra Neo is positioned as a modern alternative to traditional digital voice recorders. It is aimed at users who want more than simple audio capture, offering a streamlined way to record, store, transcribe, and manage spoken information across devices.
