Bluefox Aura A1 Launch Pushed Back as Compact Phone Fans Wait Longer

Bluefox Aura A1 Compact Android Phone Delayed as Certification Review Takes Longer Than Expected

Aiphor’s upcoming Bluefox Aura A1, a compact Android smartphone built around a small 4.7-inch display, has been delayed ahead of its expected launch. The company had previously opened pre-orders for the device and indicated that it would arrive in June or July, with shipping expected shortly after launch.

With July nearly over and the phone still unavailable, Aiphor has now confirmed that the delay is tied to the certification process rather than a last-minute hardware or production issue.

According to the company, the Bluefox Aura A1 is still waiting for China Compulsory Certificate approval, commonly known as 3C certification. This approval is required before certain products can be sold in China, meaning the phone cannot officially launch until the review is completed.

Aiphor says the certification review period has been extended because of a higher-than-usual number of products awaiting approval. As a result, the company has been forced to push back the launch and shipping schedule. A new release date has not yet been announced, but Aiphor says the Bluefox Aura A1 will launch once the certification process is complete.

The delay may be disappointing for buyers looking for a small Android phone, especially since compact smartphones have become increasingly rare. The Bluefox Aura A1 is aimed at users who want modern Android features in a pocket-friendly size, without moving to the larger displays that dominate today’s smartphone market.

The Bluefox Aura A1 features a 4.7-inch display with a 90Hz refresh rate, giving it a smoother screen experience than many other small-format phones. It is powered by the MediaTek Helio G100 processor and can be configured with up to 12GB of LPDDR4X RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage.

For photography, the phone includes a single 64MP rear camera and a 16MP front-facing camera for selfies and video calls. While it does not have a multi-camera setup, the high-resolution main sensor should appeal to users who prefer a simple camera system without extra lenses they may not use.

Other features include a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, NFC support, an IR blaster, dual SIM support, and a microSD card slot for expandable storage. The device is equipped with a 3,500mAh battery and supports charging at up to 18W.

When it becomes available, the Bluefox Aura A1 will be offered in three color options: Black, Pink, and White.

Aiphor has not yet confirmed the final retail price. However, customers who place a pre-order with a refundable $30 deposit are expected to receive a lower final purchase price. Pre-order customers will also get added benefits, including a free screen replacement, free gifts, and priority shipping.

For now, buyers interested in the Bluefox Aura A1 will have to wait until the required certification is approved. Once that happens, Aiphor is expected to confirm the official launch date and begin shipping the compact Android smartphone.
