Blazing 1,050Hz Esports Monitor Debuts with G-SYNC and 450-Nit Brightness

AOC is pushing esports monitor performance to a new extreme with the AGP257FT, a display that stands out as the fastest model in the company’s current lineup. Designed for competitive players who prioritize speed above all else, this gaming monitor reaches an incredible refresh rate of up to 1,000 Hz, with support for up to 1,050 Hz in select conditions.

The key behind this ultra-fast performance is an oxide-based Fast IPS panel built with highly responsive liquid crystals. This allows the screen to refresh at an exceptionally high rate while keeping motion sharp and fluid. At 1,000 Hz, the monitor can draw a new frame every millisecond, helping players react to in-game action with minimal delay.

For esports gamers, that difference can matter. Fast camera swings, sudden enemy movement, and rapid aiming adjustments are all displayed with reduced blur and improved clarity. The AGP257FT is designed to minimize perceived motion blur, making it easier to track targets during high-speed gameplay. This could make the monitor especially appealing for competitive titles where reaction time, visual precision, and smooth motion are crucial.

The monitor also includes NVIDIA G-SYNC support, helping reduce screen tearing and stuttering for a smoother gaming experience. This is particularly important at extreme refresh rates, where synchronization between the graphics card and display can play a major role in overall responsiveness and visual consistency.

Despite its strong focus on speed, AOC has not ignored image quality. The AGP257FT covers 99 percent of the sRGB color space and 90 percent of the DCI-P3 color gamut, giving it solid color reproduction for a high-refresh-rate esports monitor. Typical brightness is rated at 450 nits, which should be enough for bright gaming setups and general desktop use.

Another useful feature is its DC-controlled backlight. Unlike PWM dimming, which can cause flickering on some displays, DC dimming helps eliminate distracting flicker. This can make long gaming sessions more comfortable, especially for users sensitive to screen flicker.

The AOC AGP257FT is expected to launch in the first quarter of 2027. Pricing has not yet been announced, and the final cost may depend on broader monitor market trends by the time it becomes available.

With its extreme 1,000 Hz-class refresh rate, Fast IPS panel, G-SYNC support, and esports-focused motion clarity, the AOC AGP257FT could become one of the most exciting gaming monitors for competitive players looking for the fastest possible display performance.
