BenQ is growing its MA-series lineup with two new 4K monitors designed to pair especially well with MacBooks, while still offering plenty of appeal for Windows PCs and other USB-C devices. The new BenQ MA270UP (27 inches) and MA320UP (31.5 inches) focus on sharp resolution, accurate everyday color, and convenient connectivity—key priorities for productivity, creative work, and home office setups.
Both displays use IPS panels with a crisp 3840 x 2160 resolution, delivering the kind of detail that helps with photo viewing, document work, spreadsheets, and multitasking across multiple windows. They’re not positioned as gaming monitors, though, as they top out at a 60Hz refresh rate and a 5ms gray-to-gray response time. Instead, the emphasis is on clarity, comfort, and consistent visuals.
Color coverage is a strong point for general content creation and media use. BenQ says both monitors reach 99% of the sRGB color space, which is widely used for web content and everyday graphics. For DCI-P3, coverage differs slightly between the two: the MA270UP is rated at 95%, while the MA320UP is listed at 97%. That makes them attractive for users who want richer color for movies and modern creative workflows, even if these models aren’t marketed as specialized, ultra color-critical displays for professional prepress work.
A standout feature is BenQ’s Colour Tuning Technology, which is promoted as a way to reduce visible color differences between a MacBook’s built-in screen and the external monitor. For Mac users, that can mean less time tweaking settings and more confidence that what you see on the laptop is closer to what you see on the larger display. BenQ also highlights integration conveniences, including the ability to adjust monitor brightness using MacBook keys. For users who want extra control, BenQ Display Pilot 2 is offered as a free companion app.
The MA270UP and MA320UP also come with a solid set of ergonomic adjustments. You can raise or lower the display, tilt it for a more comfortable viewing angle, and rotate it 90 degrees into portrait orientation (pivot), which is useful for coding, reading long documents, editing vertical images, or managing chat and social feeds alongside your main workspace.
Connectivity is modern and versatile, led by USB-C with power delivery up to 90 watts. That’s enough to charge many laptops while carrying video and data over a single cable, helping keep desk setups cleaner—especially for MacBook users who want a simple one-cable dock-like experience. Alongside USB-C, BenQ includes HDMI and DisplayPort for broader compatibility with desktops, laptops, and other devices. There are also additional USB ports built in, making it easier to plug in peripherals like a mouse, keyboard, or external storage.
Another design highlight is BenQ’s “Nano Gloss” panel, which is intended to mimic the premium look of high-quality glass while enhancing perceived contrast and supporting deeper-looking blacks. For everyday use—especially in well-lit rooms—this kind of display finish can contribute to a sharper, more polished visual presentation.
With the MA270UP and MA320UP, BenQ is clearly targeting users who want a 4K IPS monitor that looks great, connects easily, and fits into a productivity-focused setup—whether that setup revolves around a MacBook or any other modern computer.
