Beat the Heat Anywhere: Dyson Unveils the HushJet Mini Cool Bladeless Portable Fan for Summer

Dyson is stepping into summer with a brand-new cooling gadget built for life on the go. Called the Dyson HushJet Mini Cool, it’s the company’s first portable fan, bringing Dyson’s signature bladeless airflow tech to a compact, handheld design that’s easy to carry, wear, or set down wherever you need a quick blast of cool air.

Designed to be both practical and stylish, the HushJet Mini Cool launches in three color options: Ink/Cobalt, Stone/Blush, and Carnelian/Sky. The fan’s standout feature is its 360° nozzle, which projects air at high velocity and can be twisted to aim airflow in multiple directions. Dyson also added a honeycombed mesh at the nozzle to help keep dust and debris out, making the fan easier to maintain while also helping reduce turbulence and noise for a smoother, quieter airflow experience.

When it comes to performance, Dyson says the HushJet Mini Cool offers five speed settings, including a turbo mode that can deliver airflow up to 55 mph. Power comes from a 5,000mAh rechargeable battery rated for up to 6 hours of use on a single charge, depending on the speed setting. Charging is handled via USB-C, with a full recharge taking up to 3 hours, making it convenient to top up at home, at work, or from a power bank while traveling.

One reason this portable Dyson fan could be a strong pick for commuters and travelers is its flexible design. You can use it as a handheld mini fan, wear it around your neck with the included detachable neck dock, or place it on a desk or table using the detachable charging stand. It’s also lightweight at about 0.46 lb (around 208 g), which should make it comfortable for longer use without feeling bulky.

Pricing is set at $99.99 in the US, and it’s available to buy now, though inventory may vary by color, with Stone/Blush currently listed as in stock. In the box, Dyson includes a travel pouch, neck dock, charging stand, and a USB-C cable. Optional add-ons like the Grip Clip and Universal Mount are sold separately for those who want more ways to position it.

Dyson has also confirmed that the HushJet Mini Cool is expected to arrive in other regions, including the UK and Europe, but release timing and local pricing haven’t been announced yet. For anyone searching for a portable bladeless fan, a rechargeable handheld fan, or a travel-friendly personal cooling device ahead of warmer weather, the HushJet Mini Cool is Dyson’s newest attempt to deliver powerful airflow in a compact, versatile form.
