Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game has been delayed to July 23, with beta access starting July 2
Publisher PM Studios and developer Gameplay Group have announced a short delay for Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game. The upcoming arena fighter, originally scheduled to launch on July 2, will now release on July 23.
The extra wait is relatively brief, but the teams say the delay is intended to improve the final launch experience and add new content that was not previously planned. For fans eager to jump into battles inspired by the world of Avatar, the developers are using the additional time to polish the game and make sure it arrives in stronger shape.
Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game is set to launch for Windows PC via Steam, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2. The game will also support crossplay, allowing players across supported platforms to compete together.
Although the full release has moved to July 23, players who pre-order on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, or PC via Steam will still get an early chance to play. A crossplay-supported beta will run from July 2 through July 5, giving fans a first look at the combat, characters, and elemental action before the official launch.
In a message to the Avatar community, the team explained that the delay is meant to help deliver “the best possible experience at launch” while giving the developers more time to create “an exceptional Avatar adventure.” They also teased that the game will include brand-new content that had not originally been part of the release plan.
With its focus on mastering the elements and bringing the Four Nations to life, Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game is shaping up to be a notable release for fans of the franchise and fighting game players alike. The delay may be disappointing for those who planned to play on July 2, but the promise of extra polish, new content, and an early beta should help keep excitement high ahead of the new July 23 launch date.
