Aura Displays introduces the Single Flex Pro, a foldable AMOLED portable monitor built for travel
Aura Displays has unveiled the Single Flex Pro (Gen 1), a new portable monitor designed around one standout feature: a foldable AMOLED screen. When fully opened, the display measures 13.3 inches, giving users a compact second screen for laptops, tablets, handheld gaming devices, and other compatible hardware. When folded, it becomes much easier to pack and carry, making it a practical option for mobile workstations and travel setups.
The biggest appeal of the Single Flex Pro is its flexible AMOLED panel. Aura Displays says the screen reaches 300 nits of brightness and offers a 50,000:1 contrast ratio, which should help deliver deep blacks, bright whites, and strong image depth. The display also claims 117% NTSC color coverage, suggesting that it could be useful for users who want rich colors for media viewing, presentations, productivity, and light creative work.
However, the monitor does come with one important drawback. It does not include a built-in kickstand. That means users will need to carry a separate stand to position the screen comfortably on a desk or flat surface. For a portable monitor, this could make the overall setup feel less convenient, especially compared with traditional portable displays that come with integrated stands or folding covers.
The display resolution is listed at 1536 x 2048 pixels, which the company refers to as FHD+. The refresh rate is 60Hz. While that should be fine for office work, browsing, video playback, and general productivity, users hoping for a high-refresh-rate portable gaming monitor may find the specs less exciting. At this price level, some buyers may have expected a sharper QHD panel or a faster 120Hz refresh rate.
Connectivity is one of the stronger points of the Single Flex Pro. It supports USB-C Power Delivery, allowing users to power the monitor and send a video signal through a single USB-C cable, depending on the connected device. This helps reduce cable clutter and makes the monitor easier to use on the go. The port selection includes two USB-C ports, one mini HDMI port, and one USB 3.0 Type-A port, giving it broad compatibility with laptops, consoles, tablets, smartphones, and other supported devices.
Aura Displays also emphasizes the build quality of the device. The Single Flex Pro features an aluminum body and what the company describes as pro-grade hinges. The design is intended to be both durable and lightweight, which is especially important for a foldable portable monitor. When closed, the device measures just 0.3 inches thick and weighs 1.57 pounds, making it slim enough to fit into a bag without taking up much space.
The Aura Displays Single Flex Pro (Gen 1) is currently listed at $1,299, down from its regular price of $1,499. Availability is expected to begin in June 2026.
Overall, the Single Flex Pro is an ambitious portable AMOLED monitor with a foldable design, strong contrast, wide color coverage, and flexible connectivity. Its premium price and lack of a built-in kickstand may limit its appeal, but for users who want a futuristic travel display with an ultra-slim foldable form factor, it could be one of the more interesting portable monitor launches of 2026.
