Asus Unveils V500 Mini Tower: Up to 64GB RAM and GeForce RTX 4060 Power in a Compact Desktop

Asus is bringing a fresh option to the mini tower desktop space with the new Asus V500 Mini Tower, introduced as part of its CES 2026 announcements. Built with both home users and business setups in mind, this compact desktop focuses on practical upgrades, plenty of ports, and a design that’s meant to handle everyday wear and tear.

Performance is a big part of the V500’s appeal. Depending on the configuration, buyers can choose up to an Intel Core i7 processor, pair it with up to 64GB of DDR5 RAM, and add serious graphics power with up to an Nvidia GeForce RTX 4060. That combination makes the V500 a strong fit not only for office productivity and multitasking, but also for creative workloads and GPU-accelerated tasks that benefit from a discrete graphics card.

Storage is equally flexible. Asus says the V500 can be configured with up to a 2TB SSD plus a 2TB hard drive, and it includes dual upgradeable M.2 slots, giving owners a straightforward path to expand fast storage later. For users who still rely on physical media, the V500 also offers an optional optical drive, a feature that’s becoming rare on modern desktops but remains useful in many offices and homes.

Connectivity and I/O are clearly designed for real-world desk setups. Wireless support includes Wi‑Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.4. On the front, you get two USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports, one USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C port, and a headphone jack for quick access. Around back, the V500 includes an RJ45 Gigabit Ethernet port, an HDMI 1.4 port, a DisplayPort 1.4 port, four USB 2.0 Type-A ports, and a 7.1-channel combo audio port—handy for anyone connecting multiple peripherals, displays, and audio gear.

Asus is also highlighting durability and day-to-day comfort features. The V500 is listed as having military-grade durability, plus AI noise-cancelling audio technology for clearer communication in calls. Cooling is handled by a 90mm fan, with Asus citing a heat dissipation area of up to 3,402 cm², aimed at maintaining stable performance during sustained use.

Visually, the Asus V500 Mini Tower will be available in dark gray or white, and there’s an optional handle for easier carrying—useful for small offices, schools, or anyone who needs to move equipment between rooms.

As of now, Asus hasn’t shared official pricing or release timing for the V500 Mini Tower, but the specs suggest it’s positioned as a versatile, upgrade-friendly mini tower desktop PC for a wide range of users.
