ASUS Unveils RTX 5080 Noctua Edition With Triple-Fan Design and Limited ROG Astral RTX 5080 DOOM Edition

ASUS has unveiled two exciting custom RTX 50 GPUs: the RTX 5080 Noctua Edition and the ROG Astral RTX 5080 DOOM Edition.

The RTX 5080 Noctua Edition marks a significant step up with its triple-fan design, thanks to ASUS’s ongoing collaboration with Noctua. These are not your average fans; they’re Noctua NF-A12x25 G2 120mm fans known for being exceptionally quiet and efficient in cooling. The card includes an optimized vapor chamber paired with a large aluminum fin array, enhanced by phase-change GPU thermal pads for superior heat dissipation. To ensure durability and stability, the card features a GPU Guard and bracket. It boasts a striking gray and brown color scheme, complete with a full-length backplate and a special vent for the third fan. However, all this power requires space, as the card measures a formidable four-slot height.

On the other hand, the ROG Astral RTX 5080 DOOM Edition offers a unique twist with its design inspired by the game DOOM: The Dark Ages. It features front and rear fans styled after the game’s iconic shield saw. Although it shares the same specs as the standard RTX 5080 ROG Astral OC, including a peak clock of 2790 MHz, the DOOM Edition stands out with its striking copper-coated heatsink. This version is a collector’s dream, with only 666 units available, making it highly exclusive.

As for pricing, details remain under wraps, but given their limited nature, both cards are expected to be priced well above the standard MSRP of $999 for the RTX 5080. The ROG Astral RTX 5080 DOOM Edition is already available for pre-order, with shipments set for July. Fans can also look forward to DOOM-themed accessories and an optional game code for DOOM: The Dark Ages.
