ASUS Unleashes 3000W Pro WS Platinum PSUs Ready to Power Four RTX 5090 or RTX Pro 6000 GPUs

ASUS has launched the Pro WS Platinum power supply series, a premium lineup built for creators, engineers, and power users who need absolute stability in multi-GPU workstations. With ATX 3.1 and PCIe 5.1 support, these PSUs are ready for next-gen graphics cards and demanding professional workloads, while offering the efficiency and reliability required for 24/7 operation.

The Pro WS Platinum range comes in 1600W, 2200W, and 3000W models, all designed to handle multiple high-end GPUs, including upcoming heavy hitters like the GeForce RTX 5090, RTX 5080, and RTX PRO 6000 Blackwell series. ASUS says the 3000W model can power up to four RTX 5090 or RTX PRO 6000 GPUs, while the 2200W unit can support up to four RTX 5080 cards—ideal for AI development, rendering, simulation, and other compute-intensive tasks.

To ensure safe, consistent power delivery, ASUS uses gold-plated high-performance copper pins inside its high-quality etched cables. The EPS and 12V-2×6 connectors are color-coded to make installation straightforward and reduce the risk of misalignment. According to ASUS, the upgraded 12V-2×6 connectors can lower connector temperatures by up to 10°C, improving long-term reliability under sustained loads.

Every model in the series is fully modular, helping builders keep cable management clean and airflow unobstructed. The units also feature extruded aluminum heatsinks and a highly ventilated chassis to dissipate heat more effectively during extended workloads. With 80 Plus Platinum certification, the Pro WS Platinum PSUs deliver up to around 94% efficiency at typical loads and maintain over 90% efficiency even at full output, translating to less waste heat and lower operating costs over time. ASUS backs the lineup with a 10-year warranty.

Pricing in Europe starts at 479 Euros (US$552) for the 1600W model, 619 Euros (US$713) for the 2200W version, and 899 Euros (US$1036) for the flagship 3000W unit. Availability has begun in select EU regions, including Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, with broader rollout details yet to be announced.
