ASUS has unveiled the ProArt PA32KCX, a flagship 32-inch 8K monitor built for professional creators who demand uncompromising precision. Positioned for color graders, filmmakers, photographers, and VFX artists, this display pairs staggering resolution with HDR-capable Mini-LED backlighting for exceptional depth, contrast, and accuracy. ASUS touts it as the world’s first 8K HDR Mini-LED monitor, designed to elevate post-production workflows and future-proof creative pipelines.
At the heart of the PA32KCX is a Mini-LED backlight with 4,032 local dimming zones. Each zone is controlled by advanced driver ICs to precisely brighten highlights and deepen blacks, producing striking contrast and nuance in complex scenes. HDR support covers Dolby Vision, HLG, and HDR10, while brightness reaches up to 1200 nits peak with a remarkable 1000 nits of sustained, full-screen brightness—ideal for mastering content in bright, real-world environments.
The 32-inch 8K panel (7680 x 4320) delivers a pixel density of 275 ppi—roughly double that of a typical 32-inch 4K display. The result is razor-sharp text, ultra-fine detail, and more room for timelines, toolbars, and high-resolution previews. Color performance is equally serious: the monitor covers 95% Adobe RGB, 97% DCI-P3, 100% sRGB, and 100% Rec. 709. With true 10-bit depth for 1.07 billion colors and factory calibration, it’s tuned for excellent color accuracy right out of the box.
Modern connectivity rounds out the professional feature set. Dual Thunderbolt 4 ports enable both high-speed data and flexible display options; one provides up to 96W power delivery for charging laptops and other devices, while the second port supports daisy-chaining multiple displays. You also get DisplayPort 2.1 and two HDMI 2.1 ports for broad workflow compatibility. A built-in KVM switch lets you control multiple systems with a single keyboard and mouse, simplifying multi-machine setups.
ASUS has not announced pricing yet, but availability is slated to begin this month through retail channels.
