ASRock is bringing its premium Taichi branding to a new category: high-end gaming monitors. Best known for enthusiast motherboards, graphics cards, and power supplies, the Taichi series is now expanding into displays with three new 27-inch OLED gaming monitors built for competitive players, creators, and gamers who want premium image quality.
The new lineup includes the ASRock Taichi TCO27USA, Taichi TCO27QXA, and Taichi TCO27QXB. Each model features a flat 27-inch screen, modern connectivity, and gaming-focused specifications, including AMD FreeSync Premium Pro, KVM support, USB-C with 65W Power Delivery, HDMI 2.1, and DisplayPort 2.1.
The highlight of the series is the use of advanced OLED panel technology, including QD-OLED and WOLED options. These monitors are designed to deliver deep blacks, fast response times, strong HDR performance, and ultra-smooth motion for demanding gaming setups.
The ASRock Taichi TCO27USA is the 4K model in the lineup. It features a 3,840 x 2,160 QD-OLED panel with a 240Hz refresh rate, making it a strong choice for gamers who want both sharp visuals and high-speed performance. The monitor is certified for VESA DisplayHDR True Black 400 and offers 250 nits of SDR brightness, with peak HDR brightness claimed to reach 1,000 nits.
For players who prefer higher frame rates over 4K resolution, the ASRock Taichi TCO27QXA steps in with a 2,560 x 1,440 QD-OLED panel and an impressive 500Hz refresh rate. This model targets competitive gaming, where smoother motion and reduced latency can make a noticeable difference. It also carries VESA DisplayHDR True Black 500 certification, along with 300 nits SDR brightness and a claimed 1,000 nits peak HDR brightness.
Visually, the TCO27USA and TCO27QXA appear to share a similar design, including the same premium-looking stand style. Both models seem aimed at gamers who want a balance of sleek aesthetics, strong HDR performance, and next-generation display technology.
The most extreme model in the lineup is the ASRock Taichi TCO27QXB. This monitor uses a dual-mode WOLED panel, giving users the option to run at 2,560 x 1,440 resolution with a 540Hz refresh rate or switch to an even faster 720Hz mode at HD resolution. While the exact HD resolution has not been fully detailed, it likely refers to 1,280 x 720.
The TCO27QXB also offers the brightest specifications of the three, with a claimed 335 nits of SDR brightness and up to 1,500 nits peak HDR brightness. Like the TCO27QXA, it comes with VESA DisplayHDR True Black 500 certification. It also stands apart visually with a Y-shaped stand instead of the hexagonal-style stand used on the other two models.
Across the new Taichi OLED gaming monitor lineup, ASRock appears to be targeting serious gamers who want more than just high refresh rates.
