Asgard has taken the tech world by storm with the introduction of its latest THOR DDR5 CUDIMM memory kit, capable of an astonishing speed of up to 9600 MT/s. This new offering has set a new benchmark in the realm of high-speed DDR5 RAM.
Asgard’s newest innovation in DDR5 memory surpasses the speed thresholds of its already remarkable predecessors. The Thor DDR5 9600 MT/s, featuring CL44 timings, replaces the previous iteration that maxed out at 9200 MT/s. This memory kit comes in the form of a CUDIMM, or Clocked Unbuffered Dual In-Line Memory Module, which ensures superior signal integrity compared to standard DIMMs.
The CUDIMM design employs a CKD (Clock Driver) to regenerate the clock signal, significantly boosting stability and enabling RAM modules to achieve higher frequencies. With the Thor DDR5 9600 MT/s, Asgard has crafted the fastest DDR5 RAM available today, delivering unparalleled memory speed.
According to the company, the CKD in Thor DDR5 memory modules eliminates bottlenecks by enhancing signal transmission between the CPU and DRAM. This impressive RAM kit runs at 4800 MT/s, translating to 9600 MT/s with Intel CPUs operating in a 2:1 mode. Details such as the DRAM manufacturer, SK Hynix, and the CAS latency are visible in the CPU-z window.
The DDR5 9600 MT/s at CL44 is equivalent to running a 6400 MT/s DDR5 memory at CL30, providing users with a significant bandwidth advantage. Asgard has developed this memory kit for the latest AMD and Intel platforms, designed to support higher clock speeds than ever before. While the demonstration showcased the memory kit in Gear 2 mode, the specific motherboard and CPU used were not disclosed.
Previously, ASRock’s Z890 Taichi motherboard supported up to 9200 MT/s DDR5 RAM speed, but Asgard is already paving the way for even higher speeds. They have revealed plans to launch a 10,000 MT/s memory kit soon, which will further push the boundaries of what’s possible. Meanwhile, other companies like Lexar are also stepping up with next-gen CUDIMM designs reaching speeds of up to 9600 MT/s.
On the aesthetic front, the Thor RAM modules will be available in two striking colors: Polar Night Black and Lightning Silver. The heat spreaders, while not excessively tall, provide efficient heat dissipation for optimal performance. Additionally, with Intel XMP support, the Asgard Thor will achieve optimized settings at just 1.5V.
Asgard assures that the new memory kits incorporate third-generation JEDEC-compliant chips, promising exceptional compatibility and reliability on new platforms. This makes the Thor DDR5 9600 MT/s not only a powerhouse in terms of speed but also a dependable choice for tech enthusiasts and professionals alike.
