Armatus Unleashes Demon-Blasting Mayhem This Winter

Armatus Sets Winter Release Window for PC, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Switch 2

Publisher Fictions and developer Counterplay Games have confirmed that Armatus, a fast-paced third-person roguelite shooter, is planned to launch this winter. The game is coming to Windows PC via Steam and the Microsoft Store, as well as Xbox Series X|S, Switch 2, and PlayStation 5.

Armatus takes players into the shattered remains of Paris, now twisted into a demon-infested nightmare. Humanity has been pushed to the edge of extinction, reality is falling apart, and the last survivors hide behind sacred wards, waiting for a miracle that may never come. Players step into the role of the final supernatural warrior from an ancient order, armed with deadly firearms, a scythe, and celestial powers.

At the heart of the journey is the search for the Sunless Gate, a lost gateway to heaven that may be the last hope for salvation. But reaching it will not be easy. The ruins of Paris gradually give way to darker, more monstrous hellscapes filled with grotesque enemies and increasingly dangerous challenges.

Armatus is built around the classic roguelite loop of fighting, dying, learning, and returning stronger. Each run gives players another chance to push deeper into the chaos, refine their strategy, and unlock new ways to survive. Death is not the end; it is part of the path forward.

Combat combines gunplay, melee attacks, and supernatural abilities. Players can choose from weapons such as SMGs and shotguns while enhancing their build with powers like holy fire, time-slowing abilities, and passive upgrades. The goal is to create a devastating combination of weapons and celestial skills capable of tearing through the demonic hordes.

Unlike some roguelite games where players begin weak and slowly crawl toward power, Armatus starts players off as a formidable warrior from the very beginning. As each run progresses, that strength grows into something far more destructive. The game promises a power curve that moves from heavily armed survivor to nearly godlike demon slayer.

With its mix of third-person shooting, supernatural combat, dark fantasy atmosphere, and replayable roguelite progression, Armatus is shaping up to be one of the more intriguing action games to watch this winter. Players looking for a stylish demon-slaying shooter with fast combat and high replay value may want to keep an eye on this one as its release approaches.
