Arknights: Endfield 1.3 Opens the Gates to Sword Vault Dale

Arknights: Endfield Version 1.3, titled “Sketches of Lost Heirlooms,” is set to launch on June 5, 2026, bringing a major wave of new content to Gryphline’s expanding RPG. The update introduces the mysterious Sword Vault Dale sub-region, two new six-star Operators, the arrival of Contingency Contract mode, and several useful improvements to the factory system.

One of the biggest highlights of Version 1.3 is Sword Vault Dale, a newly revealed sub-region with deep ties to the wider Arknights universe. This ancient area reappears after Wuling’s efforts to push back the Erosion Tide, opening the door to fresh exploration, new story threads, and lore connections that longtime Arknights players will likely recognize. References to Chi Xiao are woven into the zone, helping strengthen the narrative link between Arknights: Endfield and the original game.

The update also introduces Mi Fu, a new six-star Physical Guard and patrol captain of the Wuling Watch. Designed as a fast, aggressive burst fighter, Mi Fu brings a combat style built around movement, pressure, and vulnerability stacking. She can chain up to four basic attacks before flowing directly into her Battle Skill sequence, making her ideal for players who enjoy fast-paced melee combat.

Mi Fu’s Battle Skill, Qingbo Triplex, is made up of three connected moves. Cloudtrapper lets her pull nearby enemies toward her or quickly close the distance to faraway targets. Trail and Mangle applies Crush, setting up enemies for heavier follow-up damage. World Splitter then unleashes a powerful frontal strike, delivering heavy physical damage in a single blow.

Her overall playstyle revolves around managing vulnerability stacks. When an enemy reaches three stacks, Mi Fu’s combo skill activates automatically, applying physical susceptibility and sending her back into Trail and Mangle to continue the pressure. Her ultimate, Pile of No Mercy, lifts a target into the air before slamming it down for massive physical damage, while also feeding back into her attack chain. This gives Mi Fu a relentless rhythm that rewards players who can maintain her combo flow.

Camille joins the roster in Phase 2 of Version 1.3 as a six-star Heat Vanguard. He stands out as Arknights: Endfield’s first male six-star Operator and the game’s first limited Heat Vanguard. A Sarkaz vampire and Blood Hunter from the newly introduced Seš’qa region, Camille arrives with his own event, “Danse Macabre,” which follows a criminal investigation sparked by an anonymous blood sample. The case pulls him into a hunt connected to someone who shares his bloodline, adding a darker and more personal story angle to the update.

In battle, Camille’s kit focuses on heat damage, area pressure, and sustained offensive momentum. His key mechanic is Firefang Vesperwings, a summon that deals heat damage while applying heat infliction, weakness, and heat susceptibility across an area. When an enemy is defeated, the Vesperwings automatically move to the nearest remaining target, allowing Camille to keep pressure on the battlefield without constant manual repositioning.

His combo skill activates when heat infliction is consumed, letting him dash quickly, deal additional heat damage, and recover SP. This gives Camille a dynamic role as a Heat Vanguard who can apply steady pressure while supporting his own skill rotation. For players building heat-focused teams, Camille looks positioned to become a valuable limited Operator.

Version 1.3 also marks the debut of Contingency Contract in Arknights: Endfield. Known as a challenging endgame mode in the original Arknights, Contingency Contract gives experienced players a tougher format built around risk, strategy, and team optimization. Its arrival adds more long-term content for players looking to test their strongest squads against demanding encounters.

Beyond new Operators and combat content, “Sketches of Lost Heirlooms” brings several factory system improvements aimed at making progression smoother. Players will be able to use bulk equipment forging and bulk weapon dismantling, cutting down on repetitive menu actions. A new lock management feature will also help prevent important pinned gear from being accidentally dismantled during bulk operations.

With Sword Vault Dale, Mi Fu, Camille, Contingency Contract, and expanded factory tools, Arknights: Endfield Version 1.3 is shaping up to be one of the game’s most important updates so far. The current Version 1.2 banner period will end before the new update arrives on June 5, giving players a clear window to prepare for the next major chapter.
