In a thrilling twist for tech enthusiasts, ARCTIC has announced that its comprehensive range of coolers will fully support Intel’s yet-to-be-officially-confirmed LGA-1851 socket. While enthusiasts eagerly await Intel’s introduction of the Core Ultra 200 series, also known as Arrow Lake-S, the hardware community is buzzing with excitement.
ARCTIC was among the pioneers to hint at the LGA-1851, with anticipation building as Intel prepares to unveil this revolutionary technology next week. The transition to Arrow Lake-S implies the need for a new socket, and the LGA-1851 is making waves in tech circles, even if Intel hasn’t directly confirmed it yet. Leaks from inside Intel and other sources suggest that its launch is imminent.
The buzz around LGA-1851 was further amplified at Computex, where numerous motherboards featuring the said socket, unofficially known as Z890, made their presence known. Although Intel hasn’t officially confirmed this chipset, ARCTIC’s announcement hints that the Z890 may be the first to embrace this new wave of CPU innovation.
Importantly, ARCTIC has assured enthusiasts that all coolers bought since October 23, 2023, will seamlessly accommodate the upcoming CPU series. This notable date marks exactly one year and one day ahead of the highly anticipated release of Intel’s new processors along with the compatible motherboards.
The LGA-1851 maintains the mechanical dimensions similar to its predecessor, the LGA-1700, paving the way for easy compatibility and ensuring that users don’t have to worry about upgrading their cooling systems. This is crucial since the LGA-1700 is nearing its end in the tech arena.
ARCTIC’s current lineup boasts around 38 coolers designed mainly for the LGA-1700, divided equally between water coolers and air coolers. Prices start at a modest €20 for the Freezer 36 CO, while the premium offering, the Liquid Freezer III 420 A-RGB in white, comes in at €97.
As the countdown to Intel’s new Core Ultra 200 series continues, this seamless integration with ARCTIC’s coolers is poised to enhance the user experience for tech aficionados gearing up to dive into this next generation of PC performance. It’s an exciting time for those eager to upgrade their setups without the hassle of additional costs and installations.
