Apple’s Next-Gen MacBook Pro with M5 Chip Delayed; Leaks Reveal New iPad, Studio Display Plans

The much-anticipated MacBook Pro M5, originally expected sooner, is now slated for an early 2026 release. Alongside this, Apple plans to unveil several other devices over the next twelve months. According to recent reports, the tech giant’s lineup includes an iPad Pro M5 and a new version of the Studio Display.

Leaks from an internal iOS 18 version reveal Apple’s plans for the coming year. This fall, expect Apple’s usual September announcements of new iPhones and Apple Watches. An M5-powered iPad Pro is on the horizon for October, though it will primarily feature the upgraded SoC. Additionally, the Apple Vision Pro is likely to see a successor with upgrades to the Apple M4 chipset and an improved head strap.

By the end of 2025, we can anticipate:

– iPhone 17 series
– Apple Watch Series 11, Ultra 3, and SE
– Vision Pro 2
– iPad Pro with M5

In addition, a new Apple TV 4K and HomePod mini, featuring Apple’s in-house WiFi chip, are in the works. Noticeably missing is the MacBook Pro with M5 Pro and M5 Max, now expected in early 2026. This could be the final model before a major redesign featuring a thinner chassis and OLED display.

The MacBook Air M5 is also expected early next year, with potential updates to the standard iPad and iPad Air by March or April 2026. While the iPad Air will still lag a generation behind the iPad Pro, it will feature the Apple M4, but with minimal other changes.

The anticipated update to the Apple Studio Display is noteworthy, given its current model’s age. A smart home hub is also rumored for the first half of 2026. Surprisingly, there’s no mention of a rumored cost-effective MacBook with an iPhone processor.

Expected in the first half of 2026:

– iPad with new processor
– iPad Air with Apple M4
– Apple Studio Display
– iPhone 17e with Apple A19
– MacBook Air with M5
– MacBook Pro with M5 Pro and M5 Max
– Smart Home Hub

The future looks promising for Apple enthusiasts, with exciting updates and innovations on the horizon. Stay tuned for the latest developments as the tech world continues to evolve.
