Apple’s New M6 MacBook Pro Debuts With a Blazing 1,600-Nit Display at $1,999

Apple’s new 14-inch MacBook Pro with the M6 chip keeps the premium formula familiar while adding next-generation performance for professionals, creators, and power users. The latest model retains the same design and display technology as the previous version, but the arrival of Apple’s M6 processor is the key upgrade for anyone looking for stronger productivity, smoother creative workflows, and improved long-term performance.

The laptop features a 14.2-inch Mini-LED display with a sharp 3,024 x 1,964 resolution and a smooth 120 Hz refresh rate. For users who edit photos, grade video, watch HDR content, or simply want a bright and color-rich screen, the panel remains one of the biggest highlights. Peak HDR brightness reaches up to 1,600 nits, making the MacBook Pro well suited for demanding visual work and high-quality media playback.

Connectivity remains unchanged but still generous for a compact professional notebook. Apple includes three Thunderbolt 4 USB-C ports, an HDMI port, MagSafe 3 charging, and an SDXC card slot. This makes the 14-inch MacBook Pro a practical choice for users who rely on external displays, cameras, storage drives, and other professional accessories without needing to carry multiple adapters.

Wireless features are also up to date, with support for Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6, and Thread. The inclusion of Wi-Fi 7 should help deliver faster and more reliable wireless performance when paired with compatible routers, while Bluetooth 6 improves support for modern wireless accessories. The laptop also includes a six-speaker sound system, continuing Apple’s focus on strong audio quality in its MacBook Pro lineup.

In terms of portability, the 14-inch MacBook Pro remains compact for a performance-focused laptop. It measures 1.55 cm thick and weighs 1.55 kg, making it easy enough to carry between home, office, studio, or travel setups while still offering the power and connectivity expected from a professional machine.

Apple will open preorders for the new 14-inch MacBook Pro with the M6 chip on October 28 through its online store. Deliveries are scheduled to begin on November 6.

Pricing starts at $1,999 for the base configuration, which includes 16 GB of RAM and a 1 TB SSD. This keeps the starting price the same as the previous generation. Buyers can also customize the laptop with a nano-texture display for an additional $150. Memory upgrades are available as well, with 24 GB of RAM costing an extra $200 and 32 GB of RAM adding $400 to the final price.

With the M6 chip, a high-brightness 120 Hz Mini-LED display, strong port selection, and the same starting price as before, the new 14-inch MacBook Pro looks aimed at users who want a compact but powerful macOS laptop for creative work, productivity, and everyday performance.
