As we bid farewell to 2024, the anticipation for Apple’s first 2025 launch, the iPhone SE 4, is building up, especially among deal seekers. A recent price leak indicates that the iPhone SE 2025 could carry a price tag just shy of $500. Despite this slight increase, the revamped iPhone SE is likely to capture the attention of Apple enthusiasts and potentially push the tech giant to reassess its iPhone lineup.
Slated for release in the first quarter of 2025, the iPhone SE 4 aims to entice both old fans and new audiences. Even though its expected price is a slight step up from the previous $430, the SE 4 is set to be a formidable successor to the now-retired 2022 model, especially in Europe where the USB-C requirement has sidelined its predecessors.
In the U.S., the current iPhone 14 and 15 models are priced at $599, while the iPhone 16 comes in at $699. However, a $500 iPhone SE 4, rumored to outshine the iPhone 14 and 15 with its powerful A18 chip and unique Apple Intelligence feature, could spell the end for these older models.
This latest iPhone SE is expected to feature a sleek design with components like Apple’s own modem and the impressive 48 MP camera and 12 MP selfie camera from the iPhone 15. This makes it challenging to justify the continued sale of older iPhone models, especially considering the modern design addresses any previous critiques of the SE line. The SE 4 is anticipated to sport a 6.1-inch OLED display, similar to the iPhone 14, complete with Face ID.
Although it lacks an ultra-wide-angle camera, this missing feature might not sway budget-conscious buyers, especially given the SE 4’s potential value against pricier models. While European pricing details remain unknown, estimates suggest a launch price near 600€, a considerable saving compared to the more expensive iPhone 15 and 16 models, listed at 850€ and 950€ respectively.
As Apple fans eagerly await the release of the iPhone SE 4, it’s poised to stand out not just as a budget-friendly option, but as a powerful contender in Apple’s 2025 lineup.
