Apple Unveils $12.99/Month “Creator Studio” App Bundle for Content Makers

Apple is rolling out a new subscription bundle designed for video editors, music producers, designers, and other creative professionals who want an all-in-one Apple workflow. Called Apple Creator Studio, the new plan packages six pro-level creative apps together and adds premium content inside Apple’s iWork apps, giving creators a single subscription option instead of paying for each tool separately.

Pricing is set at $12.99 per month or $129 per year. Apple is also offering a steep discount for college students and educators: $2.99 per month or $29.99 per year. Apple Creator Studio launches January 28, and new subscribers will get a one-month free trial to test everything before committing.

So what’s included? On Mac and iPad, the bundle provides access to Final Cut Pro, Logic Pro, and Pixelmator Pro. Mac users also get Motion, Compressor, and MainStage. In addition, subscribers receive premium content for Keynote, Pages, and Numbers. Apple says the bundle will expand later to include Freeform on iPhone, iPad, and Mac, adding another creative space for brainstorming, planning, and collaboration.

Apple is pairing the subscription announcement with new features across its pro apps, focusing on faster workflows and smarter ways to find and shape content.

Final Cut Pro on Mac and iPad is adding Transcript Search for quickly locating specific dialogue or soundbites, Visual Search for finding exact moments by typing a description, and Beat Detection to help edits sync more naturally with music. Final Cut Pro for iPad is also gaining Montage Maker, which helps creators jump-start edits, plus Auto Crop to automatically reframe shots for different formats—useful for anyone producing content for multiple social platforms.

Logic Pro is also getting a feature bump, including Synth Player, Chord ID, a new sound library, and natural-language search, along with other updates aimed at speeding up composition and production.

The bundle also includes MainStage, Apple’s live performance-focused app that can transform a Mac into an instrument setup, vocal processor, or guitar rig—particularly appealing to musicians who perform on stage or rehearse with flexible rigs. Motion is included for building 2D and 3D motion graphics and effects, while Compressor adds deeper control over export and distribution settings, especially when paired with Final Cut Pro and Motion.

Another major addition is Pixelmator Pro on iPad. Apple acquired Pixelmator in 2024, and bringing the app to iPad for the first time widens access to its image editing toolkit. Apple highlights full Apple Pencil support and fast editing performance, positioning it as a practical option for creators who prefer working on a tablet.

In Apple’s announcement, Eddy Cue, senior vice president of Internet Software and Services, said the bundle is meant to offer strong value and help creators grow their skills, pointing to a combination of “powerful and intuitive tools” across video editing, music creation, imaging, and productivity, enhanced by intelligent features designed to speed up creative work.

For creators who prefer owning apps outright, Apple says nothing is being taken away: Final Cut Pro, Logic Pro, Pixelmator Pro, Motion, Compressor, and MainStage will still be available as one-time purchases on the Mac App Store. Meanwhile, free versions of Numbers, Pages, Keynote, and Freeform will continue to be available as well.
