Apple has released visionOS 26 and tvOS 26 to the public, arriving just a week after the release candidate builds went out to developers. Both updates are available as free downloads for all compatible Apple Vision Pro and Apple TV models.

To install visionOS 26, open Settings on your Vision Pro, go to General, then Software Update. Remove the headset to begin the installation; you’ll see the progress bar on the front EyeSight display while the update installs.
On Apple TV, tvOS 26 focuses on a cleaner, faster interface and smarter personalization. The new poster art and redesigned layout surface more movies and shows at once, helping you discover something to watch more quickly. When Apple TV wakes from sleep, profiles appear right away, making it simple for each person in the household to jump into their personalized recommendations and settings. There’s also a handy upgrade for Apple Music Sing: your iPhone can serve as a wireless microphone, complete with Lyrics Translation and pronunciation support for sing-alongs.
To update an Apple TV 4K, open Settings and navigate to Software Update. If automatic updates are enabled, tvOS 26 will install on its own.
