Apollo Turfstorm all-wheel-drive yard robot launches on Kickstarter, promising year-round lawn, leaf, and snow care. The multifunctional smart yard machine has already surpassed its funding goal, attracting close to 50 backers and raising over $150,000 against an initial target of $50,000.
Designed for all seasons, the Apollo Turfstorm combines a robotic lawn mower, snow blower, and leaf collector in one platform. Its all-wheel-drive system aims to keep traction on challenging terrain and in varied weather. For mowing, it offers a wide 800 mm cutting path with adjustable height from 0.4 to 4.3 inches (10 to 110 mm). In winter, the snow blower attachment can clear drifts up to 20 inches (about 51 cm) deep and throw snow as far as 65 feet (around 20 meters). When fall arrives, a leaf collection attachment gathers debris into a container and can deposit it where you choose.
Coverage and capability are standout features. According to the campaign, the robot can manage up to 10,000 m² (approximately 107,600 ft²) and handle slopes as steep as 45° (100% grade). Navigation blends RTK positioning with integrated HD cameras and radar sensors for obstacle avoidance, with claimed accuracy to within 0.4 inches (1 cm).
Power comes from a swappable 2,880 Wh battery, delivering up to six hours of runtime per pack. Durability specs include an IP56 dust and water resistance rating, and an operating temperature range from -13 to 113°F (-25 to 45°C), making it suitable for year-round outdoor work in a variety of climates.
Early-bird pricing is available during the crowdfunding campaign:
– Apollo Mowing Set: $2,499 (listed as 50% off the RRP)
– Apollo Snow Blowing Set: $2,899 (around 50% off)
– Apollo 2-in-1 Mowing & Leaf Collector: $3,099 (around 50% off)
– Apollo 3-in-1 Combo: $3,599 (53% off the RRP)
Global shipping is planned, with an estimated delivery timeframe of April 2026. As with any crowdfunding project, timelines may shift and delivery is not guaranteed, so potential backers should evaluate the risks before pledging.
Who it’s for: homeowners with large or complex properties, steep slopes, or four-season maintenance needs who want an autonomous solution that can mow, clear snow, and collect leaves with high-precision navigation and long runtime. If consolidating multiple yard tools into one robot sounds appealing, the Apollo Turfstorm may be worth a look while early-bird offers last.
