AOC Q27G4K/S Debuts: 27-inch QHD at up to 420Hz—But You’ll Need Your Own Stand

AOC has unveiled the Q27G4K/S, a 27-inch QHD gaming monitor built for speed-first players who want blistering refresh rates without paying for unnecessary add-ons. Arriving roughly five months after the Q27G4K, this new model targets competitive gamers with a native 400Hz refresh rate that can be overclocked to 420Hz, paired with a 2560 x 1440 IPS panel and a 1 ms GtG response time.

The display aims to balance esports-grade fluidity with strong image quality. It covers 99% of sRGB and 95% of DCI-P3, hits a typical brightness of 350 nits with 450 nits peak, and carries VESA DisplayHDR 400 certification. FreeSync and Adaptive-Sync support work to minimize tearing and latency, helping fast-motion scenes stay crisp and controlled.

Design-wise, the Q27G4K/S keeps things practical. You get a flat, matte anti-glare panel with 178-degree viewing angles. Notably, the package does not include a desk stand; instead, it’s VESA mount–ready and supports full ergonomic adjustment when paired with a compatible arm, including 130 mm height adjustment, −5° to 23° tilt, and 30° swivel.

Connectivity is well covered for modern setups: two HDMI 2.1 ports with DSC, DisplayPort 1.4, and a 3.5 mm headphone jack. A DisplayPort cable comes in the box. Power draw is rated at 32 W during normal use and just 0.5 W in standby.

AOC also includes a suite of gamer-centric tools: multiple picture presets, motion blur reduction, a dynamic crosshair overlay, shadow control, an on-screen FPS counter, and both Picture-in-Picture and Picture-by-Picture modes for multi-source workflows. There are no built-in speakers, but you do get a Kensington lock slot and common safety and environmental certifications such as CCC, CE, FCC, and RoHS.

With its 400Hz QHD panel, 1 ms response, and emphasis on essentials, the AOC Q27G4K/S looks tailor-made for competitive players chasing ultra-low latency and maximum smoothness. Official pricing and availability details have yet to be announced.
