Anker eufy SoloCam E50 Debuts With Dual 4K Lenses, Solar Charging, and AI Tracking
Anker has introduced the eufy SoloCam E50, a new solar-powered outdoor security camera designed for homeowners who want wider coverage, sharper video, and fewer blind spots without paying monthly subscription fees.
The eufy SoloCam E50 is now available for pre-order at $229.99, with shipping expected by the end of October 2026. It arrives as a more advanced alternative to the earlier SoloCam E40, which offered 2K recording through a single fixed lens and included 8GB of built-in storage.
The biggest upgrade is the camera’s dual-lens setup. The SoloCam E50 combines two 4K lenses: one wide-angle lens for broad yard coverage and one telephoto lens for closer detail. The wide lens captures a 135-degree field of view, while the telephoto lens supports 12x hybrid zoom. According to eufy, the zoom can help identify details such as faces or license plates from around 40 feet away.
To improve coverage, the camera uses a motorized pan-and-tilt design. It can pan up to 348 degrees and tilt up to 70 degrees, giving it near-complete visibility around its mounting area. eufy promotes this as 360-degree coverage, making the E50 suitable for driveways, backyards, side entrances, and larger outdoor spaces.
The camera can show both lens feeds side by side in the app, although this mode reduces the maximum resolution to 2K. Users who want full 4K viewing or downloads will need to use single-view mode.
The SoloCam E50 also includes eufy OmniTrack, an AI-powered tracking feature that can recognize people and vehicles. When motion is detected, the camera can automatically rotate to follow the subject. Its auto-framing feature can zoom in when one person is in view and zoom out when multiple people enter the scene. However, pet detection is not included.
For motion detection, Anker has equipped the E50 with both millimeter-wave radar and a passive infrared sensor. This combination is designed to reduce false alerts caused by moving branches, shadows, or harsh sunlight. eufy says the radar can detect a person even when they are standing still, with a 120-degree detection field reaching up to about 40 feet.
When the camera identifies activity, it can trigger several deterrents, including a spotlight, red and blue strobe lights, and a siren. At night, the E50 can record in infrared mode or in full color when the spotlight is active.
Power comes from a 10,000mAh battery, supported by a 5W SolarPlus 2.0 solar panel with MPPT charging. The panel can be attached directly to the camera or mounted separately on a wall, roofline, or eave to capture more sunlight. This setup is intended to reduce the need for manual charging and make the camera easier to maintain over time.
The eufy SoloCam E50 supports both 2.4GHz and 5GHz Wi-Fi, with Anker claiming a wireless range of up to 200 meters in open areas. It also carries an IP65 weather-resistance rating, allowing it to handle outdoor conditions such as rain and dust.
For storage, recordings can be saved locally to a microSD card of up to 512GB, though the card is sold separately. eufy does not require a monthly subscription for core camera features, which may appeal to buyers looking for a security camera without ongoing fees.
The SoloCam E50 can also be paired with the HomeBase S380 hub for additional features. With the hub, users get expandable hard drive storage, facial recognition, cross-camera tracking, and security reports. The camera works with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant, but it does not support Apple HomeKit. It also does not offer 24/7 continuous recording.
The SoloCam E50 is part of the eufy Edge 5.0 Yard Protection System, a broader five-device lineup that includes the TrackLight Cam S1, Video Doorbell S4, eufyCam E52, and Window Camera E10. All devices in the lineup can connect to the HomeBase S380 hub for a more complete home security setup.
In addition to the single-camera option, eufy is offering a two-camera kit for $449.99. A four-camera bundle with the HomeBase S380 is priced at $999.99.
