Anker is preparing to launch a new high-power desktop charging station in China, and more official details have now surfaced. The upcoming Anker Prime 250W Smart Desktop Charger Pro+ (also referred to as the Anker Prime 250W GaN Desktop Charger) is scheduled for release in China on March 9, 2026, and it’s shaping up to be a serious all-in-one solution for charging multiple devices at once.
At its core, this model sticks with the same six-port layout found on the earlier 250W desktop charger, aiming to cover everything from laptops and tablets to phones and accessories. The port configuration and peak output limits mirror the previous generation: one USB-C port can deliver up to 140W, three additional USB-C ports can provide up to 100W each, and there are two USB-A ports rated up to 22.5W each. In other words, it’s still designed for people who want a compact charging hub that can power several high-demand devices from a single spot on a desk.
Where the new Prime 250W Smart Desktop Charger Pro+ stands out is broader support for fast-charging standards. Anker has confirmed compatibility with 140W PD 3.1 and 100W PPS, along with support aimed at popular phone fast-charging ecosystems including up to 120W Xiaomi HyperCharge and up to 66W Huawei SuperCharge. For shoppers who use a mix of devices across different brands, wider protocol support can mean faster speeds and fewer charging compromises.
Anker also emphasizes “smart” charging behavior here. The charger is described as being able to recognize the connected device and automatically adjust the power delivery. On the front, a built-in 2.26-inch LCD displays charging details, and it also includes a Clock Mode for a more desktop-friendly look when you’re not actively monitoring wattage.
Another feature geared toward power users is app control. With Anker’s companion app, users can remotely check charging status and switch between charging modes, making it easier to manage a multi-device setup without unplugging cables or guessing which port is doing what.
In terms of size and portability, it’s compact for a 250W desktop charger. The unit measures 106 x 90 x 40 mm (about 4.17 x 3.54 x 1.57 inches) and weighs 640 g (around 22.6 oz). That makes it a practical fit for a desk or a shared charging station in a home office, studio, or gaming setup—especially if you’re trying to cut down on cable clutter and retire multiple single-device chargers.
For now, Anker has only confirmed the near-term release in China. There’s no official word yet on whether the Prime 250W Smart Desktop Charger Pro+ will expand to other markets like North America or Europe, but it’s the kind of multi-port GaN desktop charger that typically attracts global demand—particularly among users charging a laptop, phone, earbuds, and tablet all at once.
