Anker has officially rolled out the Soundcore Nebula P1i, a new 1080p portable projector designed for people who want a big-screen experience without committing to a permanent home theater setup. First revealed earlier in 2026, the Nebula P1i is now available to buy in Japan for 49,990 yen and in the US for $369.
What makes the Nebula P1i stand out in the crowded portable projector space is its built-in audio design. Instead of typical downward- or rear-firing speakers, it features flip-out 20W stereo speakers tuned for Dolby Audio. The speakers can rotate 90 degrees horizontally and 200 degrees vertically, letting you aim the sound where you need it—whether the projector is placed on a table, shelf, or at an angle in a different part of the room. It’s a practical touch for movie nights, casual gaming, or projecting onto a wall while you’re not sitting directly in front of the unit.
On the visual side, the Nebula P1i delivers a 1080p projection with a rated brightness of 380 ANSI lumens. It’s a short-throw projector that can create a 40-inch image from about 1.11 meters (3.6 feet) away, scaling up to a 150-inch picture at roughly 4.15 meters (13.6 feet). An all-glass lens helps support clarity, while automatic keystone correction and autofocus are included to reduce setup hassle when you move the projector from room to room. Anker also notes the projection engine is fully sealed to help prevent dust buildup over time, which can be important for maintaining image quality with frequent use.
For streaming and everyday convenience, the Nebula P1i runs Google TV, giving easy access to popular apps like Netflix, YouTube, and Prime Video along with other widely used streaming services. If you use an Android phone, you can mirror content via Google Cast, and you can also control the projector with voice commands through Google Assistant. For iPhone users, screen mirroring is supported through the Nebula Cast app.
When you want to plug in external devices, the projector includes an HDMI port for hardware like laptops, consoles, or streaming sticks, and it can also play media from USB-A flash drives—useful for travel, presentations, or offline viewing.
With its combination of 1080p resolution, short-throw flexibility, Google TV streaming, and the attention-grabbing rotating 20W flip-out speakers, the Anker Soundcore Nebula P1i aims to be an easy “set it anywhere” projector for entertainment at home or on the go.
