Anime Smartwatches With 10-Day Battery Life Sell Out in Japan Ahead of Launch

GARRACK Super Kaguya-hime Smartwatches Bring Anime Style, GPS, and 10-Day Battery Life

Anime-inspired accessories are common, but the new GARRACK × Super Kaguya-hime! smartwatch collection goes far beyond simple character branding. This Japan-exclusive wearable lineup blends collectible anime design with serious smartwatch features, including built-in GPS, a bright AMOLED display, health tracking, and up to 10 days of battery life.

The collection features three character-themed models based on Kaguya, Iroha Sakayori, and Yachiyo Tsukimi. Reservations opened in Japan on October 2, with each smartwatch priced at ¥39,600. The official release is scheduled for October 23.

Each GARRACK Super Kaguya-hime! smartwatch comes with a 1.82-inch AMOLED display offering a 480 × 408 resolution and a claimed peak brightness of 2,500 nits. That high brightness should make the screen easier to read outdoors, which is especially useful for users who plan to wear it during workouts, commuting, or travel.

The watch body measures approximately 42.9 × 38.2 × 9.5 mm and weighs around 27 g without the strap. It is designed to be lightweight while still offering a feature set closer to a modern fitness wearable than a typical anime collectible.

For location tracking, the watches include built-in GPS along with support for GLONASS, BeiDou, Galileo, QZSS, and NavIC. Fitness and wellness features include heart-rate monitoring, blood-oxygen tracking, sleep tracking, stress tracking, and more than 100 workout modes.

The watches are also rated 5 ATM for water resistance and IP6X for dust resistance, making them more practical for daily use than many limited-edition character accessories.

Battery life is another major selling point. GARRACK claims up to 10 days of battery life under normal use. Under heavier use, that drops to around seven days, while enabling the always-on display reduces estimated battery life to about four days.

The anime customization is more than cosmetic. Each watch face includes character-specific artwork, animated backgrounds, and interactive elements. Tapping the character on the display randomly changes the artwork, while the background animation updates every second.

There is also a moon-themed battery indicator that changes according to the remaining charge, tying the smartwatch interface more closely to the Super Kaguya-hime! theme.

Each character model includes a different preinstalled song from the film. The Kaguya edition features “Shunkan, Symphony,” the Iroha edition includes “Reply,” and the Yachiyo edition comes with “Hoshifuru Umi.” A shortcut on the watch face leads directly to music controls, adding another fan-focused touch.

Early demand appears strong ahead of launch. At one Japanese retailer, the Iroha and Yachiyo models have already exhausted their reservation allocations, while the Kaguya model remains available for pre-order. This does not mean the Iroha and Yachiyo versions are sold out across Japan, as stock can vary by retailer, but it does suggest that certain character editions may be harder to secure.

The GARRACK × Super Kaguya-hime! smartwatch collection stands out because it sits between two worlds: anime merchandise and functional wearable technology. Fans get character artwork, themed animations, and music from the film, while everyday users get GPS, fitness tracking, water resistance, a bright AMOLED screen, and multi-day battery life.

For Super Kaguya-hime! fans who want a wearable that feels both collectible and practical, choosing the right character model before the October 23 release may be important, especially with some versions already showing signs of high demand.
