Anbernic has announced the global release of its latest retro gaming handheld, the RG40XX V. This new model follows the RG40XX H, which was released just a month earlier. Notably, Anbernic is known for consistently launching new gaming handhelds on a monthly basis.
The RG40XX V is the company’s second release for the month, following the refreshed K101 Plus that debuted earlier in August. The handheld comes equipped with the following features:
– 4-inch IPS display with full OCA lamination, offering a resolution of 640 x 480 pixels.
– Allwinner H700 SoC, featuring 4x ARM Cortex-A53 CPU cores (clocked at 1.5 GHz) and a Mali-G31 MP2 GPU
– 1 GB of LPDDR4 RAM
– A 3,200 mAh battery providing up to 6 hours of playtime
In terms of controls, the RG40XX V includes ABXY buttons, a d-pad, two pairs of shoulder buttons, and a single joystick accented with customizable RGB lighting.
The RG40XX V is available for purchase from Anbernic for $59.99, which includes a 64 GB MicroSD card. Moreover, options to add secondary MicroSD cards with 128 GB and 256 GB capacities are also available, priced at $74.99 and $89.99, respectively.
