Geekom is preparing a refreshed version of its GeekBook X16 Pro, and the upcoming model looks like a serious step forward for users who want a powerful 16-inch laptop for productivity, creative work, multitasking, and everyday performance.
The updated GeekBook X16 Pro is expected to move from its current Intel Core Ultra 9 185H configuration to AMD’s newer Zen 5-based Gorgon Point platform. At the top of the lineup, the laptop will reportedly feature the AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 470, a high-end APU designed for strong CPU performance, efficient AI workloads, and capable integrated graphics.
The Ryzen AI 9 HX 470 brings 12 Zen 5 cores and 24 threads, making it a strong option for demanding users who work with large projects, run multiple apps at once, edit media, or need fast system responsiveness. While the chip may not be a huge leap over AMD’s previous Ryzen AI 9 HX 370, it should still deliver a noticeable improvement compared to the Intel Core Ultra 9 185H used in the current GeekBook X16 Pro.
For buyers focused on raw processor performance, this update could make the GeekBook X16 Pro much more appealing.
