AMD Dominates July CPU Market with Ryzen 7 7800X3D Outshining Intel in Germany by a Wide Margin

The playing field in the CPU market is anything but level, with AMD firmly taking the lead and leaving Intel struggling to keep up. For gamers looking for the best processors, AMD is the go-to choice, overshadowing Intel even at the high end.

Recent sales statistics underline AMD’s stronghold in the consumer CPU market, maintaining over 90% market share in several regions. In Germany, for instance, AMD’s dominance is pronounced, with none of Intel’s processors appearing in the top 20 sellers. The Intel Core Ultra 7 265K only managed to sell 90 units, vastly outpaced by AMD’s Ryzen 7 7800X3D, which sold 32 times more.

The scenario isn’t much different in the US, where AMD holds the top positions on Amazon. The Ryzen 7 9800X3D and 7800X3D continue to battle for the top spot, proving more popular than any Intel processor. The Ryzen 5000 series also remains strong, benefiting from the AM4 platform’s longevity and AMD’s competitive pricing. At just $72, the Ryzen 5 5500 faces no price-competitive 6-core rival from Intel.

AMD’s impressive sales figures are reflected in units shipped: 10,470 for the Ryzen 7000 and 9000 series on Mindfactory alone, while its AM4 processors accounted for 2,075 units. In contrast, Intel’s Arrow Lake managed only 250 units.

In terms of revenue, AMD collected nearly 4 million Euros from Mindfactory last month, representing about 93.66% of total revenue, while Intel’s earnings stood at 272,000 Euros. With Intel not expected to release a new generation this year beyond the Arrow Lake Refresh, AMD’s dominance seems set to continue.
