AMD Adrenalin 25.10.2 is rolling out now, and it’s a substantial driver update focused on smoother gameplay, broader hardware compatibility, and important fixes. This second October release fine-tunes performance for the latest AAA titles, including Battlefield 6 and Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2, and introduces support for AMD’s recently launched Ryzen AI 5 330.
What’s new
– Optimized game support: Battlefield 6 (DX12) and Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 (DX12). Battlefield 6 received early backing in the previous 25.10.1 beta, but this release is aimed at delivering an even better experience.
– New hardware support: Ryzen AI 5 330, an entry-tier APU with 4 cores and 8 threads, boost clocks up to 4.5 GHz, 8 MB L3 cache, a Radeon 820M iGPU featuring two RDNA 3.5 compute units up to 2.8 GHz, and an upgraded NPU rated up to 50 TOPS for faster on-device AI.
– Expanded Vulkan support: Additional Vulkan features and extensions have been enabled for modern Radeon architectures.
– Work Graphs on RX 9000: Initial support for Work Graphs arrives for Radeon RX 9000 series graphics, opening the door for future performance and efficiency gains in compatible workloads.
Important notes
– If you plan to roll back to a previous version of Adrenalin Edition, use the AMD Cleanup Utility for a clean downgrade.
– USB-C power charging is disabled on Radeon RX 7900 series graphics. If you rely on this feature, use Adrenalin Edition version 25.3.1.
– A configurable magic string in SBIOS can direct the driver to disable specific codecs, including HEVC, H.264, VP9, and AV1. This applies to Radeon RX 7000 and RX 9000 series products.
– New Game Support and the latest Vulkan extensions are available to Radeon RX 7000 and RX 9000 series graphics products.
– Availability includes Windows 11 64-bit.
Fixed issues
– The Last of Us Part II: Intermittent application crashes on Radeon RX 7900 series.
– FBC: Firebreak: Intermittent crashes on some AMD Ryzen processors, such as Ryzen AI 300 series and Ryzen 8000 series.
– GTFO: Corruption with missing scan travel lines on Radeon RX 7000 series.
– VR stutter: Stutters at 80 Hz or 90 Hz on some VR headsets with select Radeon GPUs, including RX 7000. A temporary workaround is to adjust the headset’s refresh rate.
– NBA 2K25 MyCareer: Intermittent crashes on Radeon RX 9070 series. A permanent fix is in development.
– Baldur’s Gate 3: Stutter on select Radeon GPUs, including RX 9000 and RX 7000 series.
– Serious Sam 4: Texture flicker or corruption on Radeon RX 6000 series.
– VTOL VR: Shadow corruption on the left eye for Radeon RX 7000 and RX 9000 series.
– Security: Addresses vulnerabilities tracked as CVE-2023-4969 (RDNA only), CVE-2024-21969 (RDNA only), CVE-2024-36323, CVE-2024-36325, CVE-2024-36333, CVE-2025-61964, CVE-2025-61965, CVE-2025-61966, CVE-2025-61967, CVE-2025-61968.
Known issues
– Cyberpunk 2077 with Path Tracing: Intermittent crashes or driver timeouts when loading a saved game. A fix is being worked on with the developer.
– Battlefield 6: Intermittent crash or timeout on AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370.
– Roblox Player (Car Zone Racing & Drifting): Intermittent crash or timeout during task switching between media on Radeon RX 7000 series.
– Battlefield 6 with AMD Record and Stream: Possible texture flickering or corruption on some AMD GPUs.
– Counter-Strike 2 (DX11): Radeon Anti-Lag 2 option may not appear on some GPUs, such as the Radeon RX 9070 XT. Using the Vulkan API is a temporary workaround.
Why it matters
If you’re playing the latest DX12 blockbusters or running a system powered by the Ryzen AI 5 330, Adrenalin 25.10.2 is a recommended update. It brings game-ready optimizations, broader Vulkan support, initial Work Graphs enablement for RX 9000 series, and a sweep of stability and security fixes that improve day-to-day reliability.
For the best results, install the new driver on Windows 11 64-bit, review the known issues, and apply the suggested workarounds where applicable.
